Archaeology of Britain

The Archaeology of Britain is a first year module that introduces students to archaeological sites across Britain. As part of the assessment for this module students write a site biography – a potted history of a site, its discovery, its remains and its interpretations. The first of these sites biographies are appearing now.. They should not be seen as a definitive history of these sites, but a starting point for a review of the site. The sites that are presented are a range of prehistoric sites in England, Scotland and Wales and is not exhaustive. Each year as new students complete the module, new sites will be added to the list.
